Did you know that fried chicken dates all the way back to the Roman Empire? Seriously! It’s first mentioned in a Roman cookbook in the 4th century!
Why are we sharing this?
Because it’ll soon be time for free friend chicken, y’all.
Lifegate will be hosting a Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Picnic on Saturday, July 21st at the Athens Community Park (210 Dottie Bednarko Dr.) and you are invited. The party starts at 3PM, and food will be served at 5PM. Lifegate will be providing the fried chicken, and guests are asked to bring a side or dessert to share.
Why are we doing this? We want you, the people who love and support our ministry, to know that we are tremendously grateful for your partnership.
Kids are welcome; there’s a large play area with swings, slides, and other equipment! Also, please bring any lawn chairs or outdoor games that you'd like to have! Finally, seeing that our missionaries Tyler, Sarah, Connor, Finn, and Sully are back in the US on furlough, they will be joining us!
We hope to see you soon!
